Re: the outfit masks worn by the ‘bubonic plague’ doctors in the 17th Century.
Originally credited to the physician Charles de Lorme. Supposed to protect the ‘doctors’ from the bubonic disease whilst treating the victims.
Anecdote: Still in use during carnival festivities in Venice and all around the world.
