The work on sale is an original ‘PROOF’ etching known as the Lion Tamer (Dompteuse)
Remarkably as one knows that the drypoint etchings issued afterwards are showing the Tamer with facing right insteaqd of left
Makes this ‘Proof’ etching a unique piece of art because only 1 existing
Etching is hand signed and hand numbered – PROBE

This Otto Dix color etching was bought during a Charity auction at Rockefeller Plaza Center New York in 1992, together with other works from Otto Dix and George Grosz.
