Info on Siam art
Traditional Siam art, same as Thai art is primarily composed of Buddhist art and scenes from the Indian epics. Traditional sculptures almost exclusively depicts images of the Buddha, being very similar with the other styles from Southeast Asia, such as Khmer. Siam art was influenced by indigenous civilizations of the Mon and Khmer. By the Sukothai and Ayutthaya period, Siam and Thai art had developed into its own unique style and was later further influenced by the other Asian styles, mostly by Sri Lankan and Chinese.
Info on Sawadee
The literal translation of sawadee is greeting. It is therefore a general greeting form that can be used both at the reception and at the departure. For example, the translation of ‘good morning’ to Siam and Thai language is ‘Sawadee thon chaaw’ and ‘goodbye’ is ‘sawadee khrap’ (for the man) and ‘sawadee kha’ (for the woman ).
