Information on Faun

The Faunus, also called Faun or Phaunos, is part of Roman mythology and known as place-spirit or a god of the forest. The Faunus is very often associated with Pan, the Greek god and with the Greek satyr. The creature Faun is half goat and half human and this Roman mythology animate being is part of art and fiction. A Faunus never appears alone but in groups and takes care of the fertility of humans and animals and he is known as a very, very lustful and horny creature. This attitude is well shown by the sculpture made by the great sculptor P. J., who created this amazing piece of erotic mythology.

Information on Wiener Bronze

Wiener Bronze, founded by Mathias Bermann in 1850 near Vienna, is an Austrian bronze manufactory. Best known for their novelty bronze figurines, Wiener Bronze works span a breadth of subjects that includes animals, holidays, Orientalism, Art Nouveau, devils, and erotica. Throughout the latter half of the 19th century and well into the next, the manufactory and foundry was run by subsequent members of the Bermann family, during which time they produced countless small objects, supplying the Viennese bourgeois with decorative accoutrement.
