Represents the 1978 French & Belgian Tintin magazine with double cover
Edited on 21 November 1978 – bearing nr. 167
The artwork was used in 1978 to illustrate an extensive advertising campaign, better known as the “Collection of Tintimbres ” for the toys department of the supermarket chain “La Samaritaine” in France.
The artwork was also used without the lettering, for the cover of the Tintin magazine n° 167 published in 1978 and for the French Tintin bundle n°17 in the same year.
The original drawing is rare, unique and precious. Expert Quote: This drawing in ‘distinct ligne claire’ with Tintin and the main characters was made by Hergé and his team. The comic books of Tintin are considered one of the most popular European comics of the 20th century and the artwork is collected worldwide.
